What is Scouting?

Scouts are the third section of the Scouting movement, The Scout Section is for young people, usually aged between 10½ and 14 years.

When do we meet?

We meet on a Thursday night at 7:30pm - 9:00pm (Not during school holidays)

What do we do?

At scouts we try to help children to become young adults by building functional skills in to their daily life.

This may sound mundane, but consider the skills learnt from navigation to first aid, camping to bivouacking, fire lighting to cooking skills, as well as working together in teams we try to allow individuality to grow as everyone is different.

Fun is at the centre of everything, if it's not fun no one will learn.

Upcoming highlights over the next term include:

  • Canoeing
  • Archery
  • Shooting
  • Camping
  • Outdoor cooking
  • Mountain Biking
  • and much more...
